Mr. Graves

Ah, Lee the Scruffy Wizard. Now there's a guy who needs a straightjacket if anyone. Talks to himself, thinks far too much about the world around him, goes too far into everything he does, and he ends up overdoing it and driving himself crazy. Multiple Personalities, weekly, weeklong bouts of depression, hatred, apathy, all those interesting personality traits that add up to a mass murderer or disgruntled postal worker or something of the like. What's that, you say? Seems like a nice enough guy to you? Well, he bloody internalizes everything... It's actually rather impressive, in an ironic sort of way, how well he manages to balance his appearance to the outside world with the torrents within. Of course, that's all slowly unravelling. I mean, I'm here, that's a sure enough sign of it... me? We'll get to that later. Yes, he has his outlets that help keep all his mental neuroses in check... his writing... talking openly to a close friend or two, whom he usually keeps separate from the other friends he has... yes, he even has friends that he spends time with. In a way, doing that helps him to forget... forget what he knows... forget what he's come to realize in his years of thought and theory. But he can't forget forever. Too soon it all comes sprialing back to him, and he goes spiraling downward again. But I digress. However it has happened, he has wound up here, and so have I. Originally, I and several others were chosen as a sort of antithesis to the COMING, as is termed the arrival of Lee and others like him. The rest, Jaish, Enterprise, Sabbath... they can do as they please with their reflections. I am here for a purpose. Firstly, that I should put down this farce known as Lee Wizard; whatever Powers that chose him chose poorly for an avatar of the true identity. It would be nice to eradicate him completely from all existence, but sadly there is a second, possibly more important purpose that brings me here, and demands him be alive. The Man himself I have talked to, and discussed a great many things... thought a great many thoughts... planned a great many ideas... and it has been decided that this Lee Wizard will be quite useful to us in days soon to come. I have a present that he needs to take to an old friend of ours... but that won't stop me from giving him a good thrashing at the same time. The happy times for Lee Wizard are over... what, who am I, you ask? Nephand Lee? Why, I am Lee the Scruffy Wizard, of course...

It is said that every being has a distinct and unique personality. While this is difficult to prove psychologically, I have also found it true that, to a great extent, while possibly unique they are not singularly unique. Change one or two personality traits here and there and you have a "unique personality". That said, I am nothing you have not seen before. I have a personality of course, but once you have talked with the assassin who must live his whole life alone, the entropic warrior who understands his cause, the astronomer who can see all the stars in the sky, and the mage who walks the sands of time, and the thousands of others you have met, read about, heard about, or seen, you will find that I am merely part one, part the other, a little bit of this, none of that, and so forth, and so on.

Nerves Dulled

     Iron Will: Supreme

You wish to fight? Then attack at will. I have already stabbed myself a thousand times in a thousand different places, shot myself in the head, foot, hand, and heart, tossed myself off the highest cliffs, drank the most dangerous poisons, been burned with the most righteous fire and frozen by the seas of the Arctic. I have seen pain, but I have also seen happiness, love, fear, anger, depression, anxiety, and the other emotions of a million souls. I have seen and heard and felt it all and I can see why Solomon declared, "Useless! Useless! It is all Useless! There is no new thing under the sun!" Do you truly believe you can come up with something that hasn't been done, heard, or thought of long before you were ever around? Unless you can, you'd best turn away; there is not much left anymore that can move this tired soul...

Entropic Life

     Disintegration: Supreme

  • Area Affect
  • Armor Piercing

The workings of life are based on such simple concepts, really. Notwithstanding any sudden interruptions of the process, life continues on so long as it has energy to keep going with. Every action uses up some of that energy, and when it is finally all used up, life simply ends. Yes, there are ways to recover some energy lost, but it is never fully recovered. The life of the universe itself is slowly slipping away, like a clock that eventually winds down until it stops. If you wish, we could sit and talk for a while, and I could tell you all about how it works. Then you would understand, then you would realize that all you are doing is bringing about your own end faster and faster still. Maybe you should rest a while first, you seem to be growing more tired already...

Forgotten in Infinity

     Super Speed: Ultimate

A question for you before I go. Do you remember the most important things you've done with your life so far? Was any of it worth remembering? Or has your time using the energy you've borrowed from the universe been nothing short of a complete waste... even while you sit here, time slips away, your time, until you are gone completely. I speak not of merely physical presence. It is said that we live on in the memories of others. I say, that is when you truly die, when you are forgotten. And you will be forgotten yes, no matter what great titles you make for yourself or grand achievements you accomplish. All it takes is one generation of people to forget about their ancestors, or one group of people with enough greed and power to alter what the rest of us learn as so-called "history", or one man with enough hatred that he destroys your kind after you die. Then you are with me, like a breeze on the wind, the nothing that you never see... and thanks to me, your time is coming much sooner than you expect..

Self-Realization

     Mind Control: Supreme

  • Auto-Hit Attack

People. So many of them are like ants, scurrying about, unaware of their own mortality, of their own uselessness as a singluar being. They work, they gather food and eat of it, and in time, they die, to be replaced by the next generation. Some may be brilliant at what they do, and in turn become rich financiers, powerful lords, renowned warriors. These... ants... who glutton themselves on the backs of others shortly before they themselves are consumed; who hold worlds at their feet only to have them scattered away when the feet are finally broken; who fight on not for a cause they understand, but for a fallacy distorted to appear to them as true, like that which is seen through a blood-stained mirror; I pity them, for they know not what they do. Such is the way of many things... but, maybe, there is hope for you. You have seen but a small piece of the world I know. Possibly, you will turn away... but possibly what I have said has struck a chord in your mind. A ringing siren you, one that for so long you could not place your finger on, but now you have realized it, and know that you want to hear more. If so, sit, listen. There is much to learn...
