ThreeDark

There is darkness everywhere. In the skys, at night, there is more darkness than stars. Up above the worlds it is always night. In the pit that is my soul there is darkness. When you are forced from what is your rightful home for ages... only to be stranded amidst the darkness between stars... with a darkness even more cold and unforgiving than the void that exists as the cosmos at your back for all eternity... you too will have a darkness in your soul. That is neither here nor now. That is past and I am now about my fathers work. I have but one purpose here: To collect that which has been waiting to be collected. To reap a field that has gone un-reaped for far far too long. I am here to lay claim to the restless and unworthy of this world and send them to the Hades that is their fate. I am Copernicus. Son of Hades and Hera. Banished of Olympus by will of that arrogant fool Zeus. Forced to take up the Moniker as the god of Oblivion. Forced to carry upon my shoulders the weight that is the Shadow of the moon. The Shadow of Oblivion. The only surviving witness to the destruction of Olympus by the mad god Aries. Now, after ages of imprisonment in my task I am free. As is my father. He told me that this world has gone too long without his hand to guide the dead to their rightful places and now I am his messenger. This world's dead has for too long sat untended. This world shall be my throne. Those who do not deserve life shall have it taken from them. Those who deserve death shall have it given freely. I will be emperor and all shall bow before me.

Shame on all those who think I am just another fool mimicking death. I am death to those who deserve it. I mimic nothing. I do nothing that I do not need to and there is nothing I do that is flawed. I am a god. There is nothing more that requires explanation on my part. If you do not know of me then you had best learn, quickly.

The Blade

     Psychic Vampire: Superior

  • Auto-Hit Attack
  • Target Seeker

Tarturean steel, black as the night I so long ago lived in. Sharp as the edge of time itself. Never to be stained with blood. Never to see its way through the flesh of a warrior or priest. Never to taste death, only to hasten it's coming. Only to rend soul from body, freeing it for reaping. Many of those who seek to oppose me never see their demise coming, taking their lack of excessive loss of lifeblood to mean I missed. Their misconception is their folly. Every strike feeds me as it looses the bonds between soul and body. Each strike burns like star-fire within me. The closer they step towards true death, the more I live. It only ever takes a few blows, there are only so many fetters a soul can have to this world. Letting them grasp at these lifestrands as they realize that their feeble illusions of death and the hereafter come crashing down around them makes the end ever so much more like the ambrosia it is.

The Chariot

     Vehicle: Superior

  • Reinforced Defenses

Bones human and fey, beast and unknown adorn the steel conveyance I ride upon. It is all I have known for ages as I have stood at it's bow staring out across the endless sea of star and void, across the necks of the two steeds that drive the chariot. It is of my fathers design. They are my fathers horses, Stygian steeds of his best stock. Neither living nor dead they require not sleep, drink, nor food. They are restless and loyal, neither flesh or blood, only sinew and bone. They ride like the wind upon the wind and upon nothing, upon soil and water. Nothing can impede their progress, and anything that poses difficulty tends to quickly meet the fate I know as the Shadow...

The Shadow

     Gravity: Ultimate

  • Area Affect
  • Target Seeker

Imagine the cosmos, full black void pitted with the light of a billion stars. Wipe the slate clean. That is the Shadow. A sphere of eternal nothing, an open maw that leads unto itself ahundred fold, oblivion. It is the shadow of the Moon, and yet more. It is Oblivion, and yet nothing else. It is what it is, always hungry and always unsatisfied. It waits for me, this I know because it has followed me for ages and has grown impatient with the chase. I would not let it have me, however, so it must be contented with that which I lead it to. Those who would be useless to my father... or too much trouble to even attempt to claim.

Thousand Soul Chain

     Tractor Beam: Standard

  • Ranged Attack Only

There are some things in this world that neither mortal or immortal alike should ever be a party to. One such item, if any, must be the thousand soul chain. Each link forged from an individual soul, wrought with the precision of Tartarus very own version of Hephesus, these chains are the only thing keeping the Shadow at my back. Ever at my back. The chains have subdued the abomination and force it to a path behind my chariot, swaying this way and that as I drive my steeds, as if trying to escape. Perhaps it is. Perhaps it seeks to free itself and finaly devour me. I believe this to be true, but it never shall be. The chains shall never break, and oblivion will always nip at my heels. Better my heels than my throat.

Ages Alone

     Acrobat: Standard

  • Weakness: Not usable in terrain - Misty Vale

Years. Decades. Centuries. Mellinia. Ages. Aeons. How long was I alone amidst the stars? How long have I lived with Oblivion at my back? How long indeed. Forever and a day and a month. In void I learned to drive the steeds. Alone I learned to steer the chariot. For ages it has been me and me alone at the reigns of this edifice of bone and steel and bone and shadow. Rightly so I should know how to direct and control the chariot as if I had for all my life. Have I not? Has it not been I here, driving these bone horses? Was it not I who pulled this Pitch Abomination for an eternity? For all this I suffered naught. For all this I learn. What is trial and suffering for but to learn? This I ask, this I answer. Yet my learning is incomplete. Still it eludes me the ability to effectively command that which you cannot see. Still, I will in time compensate for this shortfall. Do not expect it long in continuation.

Birthrite

     Energy Body: Superior

Upon my birth the stars wept, for they knew they were to be joined. For all intents and purposes my true calling was to be god of the cosmos. God of the stars and their ilk. Wielder of star-fire. This was denied me. This was taken from me forcibly and without reason. This I have regained. Deep within my soul still burns this star-fire, the counterpart and opposite of the Shadow that besets both my spirit and my back. It is far from the true fury of the stars that roar within the depths of the void I called home, yet still it is growing stronger with time, soon my birthrite will be whole again and my form shall burn with the full fury that is my darkened soul!

Vae & Victus

     Paralysis: Superior

  • Weakness: Not usable in terrain - Low Gravity

There's something to be said about a loyal steed, need he neither rest nor sustinance. There's something to be said about two. Ahead me there ride two such steeds. Vae and Victus I have come to call them, they are my fathers best. They are not warhorses for my father never intended to take part in any war, but they have shown a particular skill in besting those who would attempt to defeat them in an attempt to overtake me. Those who face these stallions of stygian breed are in turn met with a feirce reaction and are quickly trampled underfoot, leaving them helpless to either my Blade or to the Shadow which is drawn by the charriot that is drawn by Vae and Victus. There appears to only be one instance which I have noted that restrain my Skeletal Equestrians from performing their rather devious act. This being when out of the grasps of the pull of this world their attentions shift from what is in front of them to that which is behind them... they become acutely aware of the Shadow and all focus is drawn on keeping it behind thim.
